View Full Version : Vehicle: Diablo
JeffPatton 10-27-2002, 05:28 AM Here's my first post(s)....Both images were created with Max 4.2 and Brazil (demo version). The first is one I was playing around with learning HDRI (the Diablo image)...I did not model the car itself, just texture and HDRI. Now the second image is something you will probably not see too often....a condensing unit for HVAC. I was playing with DOF on this one.
Great forum, I have learned alot here and see some truely amazing work!
Here's the links incase the images dont post:

NIce images.
The Lambourghini is was too shiny though. I have never seen a chrome Countach:surprised . Nicely modelled though. Looks great.
Your A/C unit is great. Very impressive. Just need to have it sitting on a roof curb now with the building roof below.

I have to deeeefinately agree with BgDM in that it is sweet model but you reaaaaaaally need to turn its reflectivity waaaay down. Fast. Like, real fast. Like, asap! As in, you can tell if somebody is a vampire on not on that chasis.
;)
Oh, and I'd have to confirm that it's a Diablo, not a Countach. Whenever I'd get confused with these two models, the rear intakes are the most obvious giveaway for me. :)
Now, once (if) you fix that, could you place it in a showroom setup (sweet overhead lighting, dark surrounding, etc) and render a 1600x1200 high quality version of it, if possible in a yellow, because it would then make a sweeeeet wallpaper... :)
cheers

Thanks for the comments. When I get some free time, I will re-visit that car and play with the IOR and try putting it in a decent surrounding. BTW, I'm pretty sure the car is a diablo.
lildragon, I have now read the rules and will adhere to them on future posts...my appologies.
Again, thanks for the tips.
