View Full Version : Critique Please! [Car Paints]
http://www.killagraphix.com/uploads/car_paint_floor.png
Hello,
I'm hoping that I could get some critique on these car paint materials I've used.... Is there anything I can improve on with these? (Besides that my spheres didn't render as perfect spheres while they're in a hypernurbs with render subdivision of 6 )
Thank you in advanced,
-Joshua M.

very nice indeed, share please :)
They're seriously this good? I thought they weren't too great really lol. I'm going to put them up for download since you can't really find any car paints for free download :) But in all seriousness... There is nothing I can improve on with these paints?
Thanks in advanced,

I can't see the image.
hmmm... I don't see why you cannot see the image. Try clicking here (http://www.killagraphix.com/uploads/car_paint_floor.png).

It might be easier to help you, if we could see the materials on a car first.

Hello,
I know it would be better if I had them on a car, but I don't have any car models yet. I'm working on one, though; Hood is done so far... I don't think I can just make it over night. Anyone got a car model that I could use to apply these paints on or know where I can find a free model?
Thanks in advanced,
-Joshua M.

Hi,
Ah right, have you tried Turbosquid or other model sites?

Hello,
hmm.. turbosquid doesn't seem to have any real looking cars in c4d format lol. They're all hotwheels looking cars and really no detail to them all. I'm going to keep searching. If anyone doesn't mind to send an old model or something, please feel free to send it to josh@killanet.net
Thanks in advanced,

I have an old model of a Fiat 127 for download on my site. Maybe not the sexiest car ever made but... There's also a car on one of the R9 Goodies CD's.
Link is in the signature.

Hello,
Thanks Anders. My computer just isn't the greatest for your model. It's taking a looong time to render one small object on your model.. I think I found a car model that might be better on my machine. Note that just about anything is suited for my pc because it's way out of date. I'm lucky to even have C4D run without lag at the moment. I'll get the new renders up here ASAP!

Have you tried 3D02.com?

They seem to concentrate on vehicles and have lots of cars.

Wow, that's a huge database of car model downloads... Unfortunatly, there is no free downloads there.
