i'm sure this question has been asked alot, and my search really hasn't turned up anything too good. i'm new to max, mainly animating, but so far, i have customized the hotkeys and made the navigation somewhat similar to maya, but i'm wondering if there's anything (like a script) to make it just like maya, mainly if you can somehow make the navigation tools to hold ALT to zoom, rotate, etc, with the mouse, because that is something i haven't figured out yet.

any help with a maya to max user would be great, thanks!

Maya to Max user here:

It's a lost hope.
I now use a bunch of different softwares and it's just a good idea just to getting use to dealing with moving back and forth between bunches of programs.
I can't tell you how many times I've tried to zoom in to an image using photoshop holding key combinations and mouse operations from the last 3d program I was in.

You CAN, however, change Maya to be more like Max. Just not the other way around. Sorry man.

Make sure you know the navigation keys for Max though. Lots of people don't know that you can zoom, pan, and rotate without switching tools. I don't know why, but some people would rather hit the button at the bottom.
