Anders is a Max guy I think. But according to a friend of his he subbed out the 3D to the world-class guys at The Mill (who knows what they use...Maya? Max? XSI?). But if you know Anders' work in the past (as seen on his site) you know his 3D storyboards provided to The Mill were tight and solid and beautiful. In the end this is a piece of design, and it took his vision to put things where they ended up.

I also downloaded Ander's reel along with some of his other vids(particularly the UFC spots) and was wondering if anybody knows how or knows of a tutorial that explains how to achieve those light ray effects Anders used in the UFC spots...that is when the fighters hit each other...these spline type lights animate around the subjects. He also uses in his reel as a purple light ray wrapping around a vintage microphone. Anybody know how to achieve this with C4D or After effects or both?

un saludo,

ezra
