ok, i have a plane, and i have 300 images (bmp) that make up an animation. I want to use those 300 images and put them on a shader, so i can apply it to the plane so i can use that as a backdrop. Someone plaease help me out. I just cant seem to find it anywhere in the help docs.

Ok, well first of all it's usually better to use an Image Plane for rendering backgrounds because they automatically fit the camera and that's what they're for.

But anyway, I think you're getting that effect because you have some kind of filtering on the movie file. By default, Maya puts a Gaussian filter on file/movie textures, so I think you should turn that off. Especially if the movie was captured using a normal non-digital camera.

I think that should do it!
