Name: Pilot
Program: XSI
Description: I'm trying to develop a set of characters in order to compile a new demo reel. I want to post here so that I can get advice from my peers, and develop my skill as much as possible.

This character is going to be a WWII bomber pilot, and this is what I've got so far. I'm mainly hoping to get some critiques on the geometry and edgeloops. There are still some lines that I am not sure how they should run. However, any and all critiques are welcome.

Thanks for your time.

Looking very nice and full of character;
modeling-wise, I'd suggest you examine the lower occular region between the cheekbones and the 'bag' of the lower eyelid; looks a little bit over-exaggerated IMO, and watch out for the 'Z' distance of the corner of the lips too :)

Yeah, I know what you're saying. I wanted that area a little exagerated, and he'll have goggles, so I wanted the bags of his eyes to sort of be squished by them. But I may have gone overboard. I'll get going on the goggles soon, and look at it with those in position.

Thanks.

I'd also take note of the 'jawline/mouth topology' (this wll be picked on in your reel more than any other area of the model:))
Here's a suggested rough topology for that area that will make facial anim easier:

EDIT: Here's a 'similar' model from a while back (the wire might help elaborate what I mean better!)
