Hey all

I'm about to install win x64 on my new machine:
Amd64 3000
1Gb PC3200 (2x512mb)
Abit AN8-Ultra
80Gb Maxtor D740X-6L
480W PSU

But I only have a 'Matrox G200 8Mb PCI' to hand, I'm waiting on a 'PNY 6600GT' to be delivered (5 days or so).

My problem is XP crashes when it gets to '34 minutes left, the screen flash black once then again but reboots the machine, when it restarts it does the same again.

Have you used any 3rd party drivers by this stage? If so, use microsoft ones for now.

Check your RAM - take a piece out and try running the install again.

www.planetamd64.com (http://www.planetamd64.com) - a great forum if you have persisting installtion issues :)

EDIT: and of course, make sure it's not your CD. If you're running the trial, redownloading and/or reburning the iso may solve the issue.
