View Full Version : sub-d cage?
Solesurvivor 10-26-2002, 03:07 PM does anyone know how to get rid of this cage?
I mean, i'm in normal mode, not polygon proxy mode, and i still see this cage, and it's starting to piss me off, cuz everything goes reaaal slow with this. and it's not the cage of my character as it is now, but as it was a few steps ago...

Look in the hypergraph. Go to Options->Display and check on shape and hidden nodes. Then find the node for the geometry. There will probably be several different shape nodes attached. One of these will probably be the cage. Select the nodes untill only the cage is highlighted. Try to delete it.
I hope it works, but I'm not sure. I can't remember the cause of the problem. I have only had it a few times.
good luck,

likely you have killed the polyToSubD conexn (check in hyperG), by history delete. this doesnt explain slowness tho.
hmm why u dont make a layer where u can switch it on/off - in the future u need ure low cage for animating or other things
