View Full Version : cancel a render process

Hello,
got another beginners question.

Rendering a scene is done by hitting F12 (at least I know that) but while the rendering has started, is it possible to cancel the process? This could be really handy as my weak point is lighting and I often try to achieve reasonable results by trial and error.
As sometimes rendertimes can become longer I wouldn't have to waste time if I could cancel rendering.

Thanks for replying, sorry for bothering u lots with this
(the 2.3 manual will arrive next week which will keep me off your backs for sure ;) )

nah don't worry
i might add a little tip which makes tweaking a lot easier.
if you're in camera view [numpad 0] you can select a cut out of the actual image with shift+b for rendering. if you want to get rid of that, just disable the 'border' option in the scene buttons [in 'render' tab].
