help me. I have a bunch of characters with animation in lightwave that I need to convert to 3DS max. Other then just redoing it all, is there any way to convert it? Is there a plug in or some 3d party app?

Point Oven is supposed to work for that - but I haven't tried it myself yet.

What sort of animation? If it's dynamic related, you could bake a motion path and 3DS should be able to import it.
