View Full Version : please help - masking and deformation problems

hey everyone

basically i have 2 issues..

i want to create a Mask to avoid painting over the edges of my model in projection master ..

i create my mask in edit mode then drop to projection master but the mask is inneffective and i can still apply my deformations over the masked area..

secondly once these projections are made and i go back into edit mode u can see the projections are very pixelated...

this model is at subdiv 5 and i still get these pixelations..

do i need a higher number of divisions ?

I beleve you need to hide your masked areas before entering projection master to avoid marking them.
The amount of detail you can add is dependent on the density of the mesh. So yes, you may need to subdivide even more to acheive greater detail.

Yup, you poly mesh needs to be pretty dense for PM to work nice...
