Rudeone:I don't know... perhaps it is nessesary to register somewhere before posting or it is not allowed to use classical medias such as pencil - or something like this:shrug:

This is a guy like "Xehuse meh laddie, ya talken to meh?", so he's a non-agressive drunken dude who wants to make shure that you're talking to him...

Wow so many great entries already!
Rudeone - that is FANTASTIC!
ebr - excellent execution and love his expression too!
Mirwen - welcome aboard, nice first entry
DiPingus - I really like that one too - it has a real impact
paperclip - I like that sketch, but I'm not sure I get it or how it fits the topic, maybe I'm just dense today?
DjimiFett - nice mood in that one!
danielh68 - he looks like a tough guy - good pose and attitude!
Vahn - really impactful, especially for a monochrome image
Dimmur - I think that guy hit on me in a bar once
Thany - WOW! I love that one....your posts just keep improving all the time, great job!
TheVux - not bad for a mouse sketch...that proportioning almost makes him look like a cyclops
Good work, folks!

I'm another first-timer to the DSF. I've always known doing a sketch every day would be a great way to improve, but I've never quite found the motivation. Here's hoping the DSF can become enough of a habit to keep it rolling. :)
Here is my entry for "Are you talking to me?"
Took me 45 minutes to get it sketched out in pencil. Spent 1 hour cleaning up a bit and adding color in Photoshop. It shouldn't have taken me quite that long, but I'm away from my tablet and had to revert to using the mouse... hence the "scribbly" quality. :P

this topic reminds me of a funny story. My friend works in a restaurant (no no, wait, that's not the joke) so this guy wearing dark glasses comes up to the counter, and my friend asks him if he's ready to order. "Are you talking to me?" the man says. "Are you talking to me?" he says again. My friend catches on and replies "You bet I'm talkin to you cause you're the only one here" (from that movie Taxi Driver I think) then he looks down over the counter, and sees a blind dog.
Turns out the man was blind and didn't know if my friend was talking to him when he asked to take his order. But it's ok, my friend didn't get fired. The man couldn't read the name tag.
No time to sketch though, maybe next time

keko: I love your tazer-girl picture. It's fun to see a skilled artist produce quick, loose work, as the thought process is made more evident for relative beginners such as myself to learn from.
freshvirus: Fun idea; I like it. It reminds me of an old episode of the Super Mario World cartoon in which a tin-can telephone system was installed in the prehistoric village and caused all sorts of problems.

Hey everyone. Posted this one in my friendster blog but didn't receive and comments on it whatsoever... So I thought I'd post it here.
Went for a facial pricking session once and man did it hurt. They were torturing me thru every nerve on my face! This cartoon vividly captures what I felt. The dialogue of the character on the left is in Tagalog, a dialect we commonly use here in the Philippines, and the translation is, "wait... wait... i just remembered i left the iron open at our house..." the poor guy who's suppose to be me's making up excuses to go home and skip the tragedy of face-pricking. Leaving the iron open at home's a joke we Pinoys like to make to make fun of trying to escape a desperate situation. Yep http://cgtalk.com/images/smilies/grin.gif In relation to the topic in this forum, the "prick-lady" seems like she's not listening to the boy's plead in the picture. It's like she's just going, "Are you talking to me?!" ... Aaah, kinda forced that one in, but you get the point http://cgtalk.com/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif
Used reference of foto of me for the face... (face of the guy on the left of course!) http://cgtalk.com/images/smilies/scream.gif
