View Full Version : UV MAP question

basically i want to creat a simple UV map of a head..

when i do this in 8.3 my head always appears with the features on the rigth side of ther UV map rather than having the nose , mouth , eyes in the middle of the UV map with an ear and the rest of the head either side..


i am using a cylindrical subpatch option to create this on the Y axis and my model is fully centered and facing the positive Z axis..

any ideas ?

Bearfoot, just done a test. You need to rotate your model 90 degrees on the heading, so that the nose(If it has one) is facing towards +x i.e. right ear facing you. Make your cylindrical uvmap. Then rotate the head back to the angle you want.

Another method I would guess is to use Texture Guide to make your UV's.

Hope that sorts it.
