Hey all! It's been a while since i posted something worthwhile on the boards... Today, I will start updating you with the progress of my zombie character (Started yesterday). http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v416/proudclod/zombie1.jpg

I'm trying to keep the model under 4000 Tris- So far, Georgie's head is 1098 tris.

The planes sticking out all over him, are for hair, and excess skin (Georgie had an accident).

Yes, that is a cut on the left side of his neck, and yes it will be gross to look at once done =)

The left side of Georgie's head is burnt, that would explain the asymmetry :)

i really don't want to know, of what you are dreaming at night dude. that are nice ideas you want to put into that model. i think that head is a good start, but, i can not see any asymmetry, maybe a wireshot could help.

There is some assymetry- half of his hair is gone ;) I'm not totally done the head... Another Assymetrical feature, is the fact that one of his eyes is closed (sealed shut- probably a bad bruise, or maybe he just lost the eye?). Thanks for the comments =) I'll keep you updated.

you should be able to get that head down to about 600 polys without really losing any detail that can't be put back with textures. It's always worth optimizing the head as it give you more to play with when it comes to joints. Assuming your going to rig it. A good start though.

*g* okay the hair is gone. the idea with the eye is good, maybe you could only model the empty eyehole. :D

2000 Tris, I'll be modeling in the details soon (Limit is 4000, I have plenty of polys left to intigrate)

Great start so far, man. I think the arms are a tiny bit too short- make sure his hands end up midway between the hip and the knee. Also the legs seem a little cartoony, but maybe that is the look youre going for so I could be off base on that one.

keep up the good work!

Thanks for the comments man, I'll lengthen his arms a little... His legs seem cartoony for now, because I just extruded them out without much mind... No folds/rips yet, I'll have them soon ;)

Not even close to finished. A lot detailing still to be done! =)
