It looks good to me. Here are some suggestions:
1 - It will be easier for us to critique your model if you post some screens that are taken from a less extreme angle. Wireframe shots are a big help too! It helps us see where all the geometry is actually at, and can help us point out places you can streamline or add detail to.
2 - I think this weapon, especially with the LAM, is a GREAT candidate for normal mapping, a feature the HL2 happily supports. You could probably get it down to about 2000 triangles and have it look better than it does now with a good normal map. Here is an example a friend made:
