I teach printmaking at a university in south africa and i have always thought that drawing is really the essence of what any artist (sculptor, painter, printmaker alike ) does and I believe in all honesty that figure drawing is the key to understanding, visualising and creativity (and so much more now in this digital age). Without figure drawing... well you just shouldn't be drawing at all.... thanks for creating a forum such as this!!! good on ya!

Just like to thank the ppl that started this sub forum. It was Rebecca's original thread that inspired me to start improving on my drawing skills. For those that do not have the luxury of having live subjects to draw, here's a link to a useful contemporary dance website. It has lots of pictures of dancers in interesting poses.
