hi

I recorded some footage with my finepix s7000 digi cam (not great quality, but decent for what I am wanting to do/comp) and imported into after effects. In after effects and windows media player, i can hear audio but no video, however the files play fine in quicktime standalone player. I thought it would be a codec issue (i.e. not having the right one) but then if that was the case, surely QT would have the same issues?

any help appreciated!

Nope, it is a CoDec issue! Quicktime uses it's own set of routines and is completely independent from the rest of Windows' driver architecture. If you have QT Pro try to Save your movie to another flavor of DV or as a MOV container with internal DV compression.
