We represent a high profile games company in the San Jose, CA area that is looking for an experienced Art Director.
Responsibilities:
Management of art team
Mentor artists in technical and artistic aspects
Establish visual style and goal for new projects
Documentation for art processes
Oversee 3rd-party projects for compliance with artistic style
Conduct yearly performance evaluations for employees
Manage developmental and career goals for employees and department
Work with software and design teams to advance the work load of the department
Work with production to implement new technology for art and to establish schedules and maintain them
Required Skills:
Exemplary skills in concept and 3D visualization.
Ability to critically evaluate 3D models, textures animations and f/x to achieve specific style goals.
Ability to learn and develop new technologies for implementation
5+ years of Art Management
2+ shipped titles
