View Full Version : messiah Script question
My Fault 07-09-2005, 06:55 PM So is there anything in messiah that is similar to Maya so you can see commands echoed as you do them. The documentation to use messiah script is fairly small and a bit hard to figure out for those of us less tech minded but in Maya it is so easy to build up complex MEL scripts this way. For instance I am having to add a crap load of metaEffectors (one for each bone) in a scene I am doing and man it is so repetitive and monotonous there has to be a good way to script it. Would love to see better (or any) tutorials for using messiah script!

No, there isn't a command echo.
I think it has to do with the (assumed by me) fact that the script commands aren't used by the interface. While most of the big software apps basically build the interface and all buttons etc. around and from scripting, messiah is an oldschool app in that stuff is done directly.
Makes it fast but every change has to be hardcoded by pmG and the user can't change a thing.
I can't even get the new script editor to work. Just shows a broken interface here.
