View Full Version : Setting method to 'eraser' paints white
John Keates 07-08-2005, 02:49 PM I was delighted to see that I can turn the brush that I am using into an eraser by selecting 'eraser' in the method pull-down. However, rather than erasing an area, it turns it to white. I am painting on a layer.
Is there a work-around for thi? Can we expect free updates to fix these kinds of glitches?
Thanks,
John

This isn't a glitch. Change your Subcategory to Soft Paper Color and it will erase to transparency just fine on a layer.
Cheers

Hey donseeg,
Thanks for the tip - it worked perfectly. There are so many brush options that I can get confused. Sorry for assuming the worst of a very nice piece of software

Not a problem. I get confused a lot of the time myself. So many things to learn and so little time. Hopefully, Painter will only get better and easier to use. :)
