We will try to post one of these topics once a day for your enjoyment.

These are the rules:
* Post only your FINAL piece on this thread, based on the topic on the thread.
* RESOLUTION : The image can have any aspect ratio up to 800 x 600
* They can be done on any medium.
* If you wish, you can add a brief text description about your piece.
* Only original compositions. No "tributes" or plagiarizing, unless is it an integral part of the challenge.
* The topics will be posted every day between 10:00 - 12:00 am US EST.
* The artist also has to post total length of time it took (Thanks Clanger for the idea) and program used.
* Only final pieces can be posted on the thread. They must have been done AFTER the topic has been announced.
* Any piece caught breaking the rules will be taken off the thread.
* The topics will be picked at random from the list on this thread
(The author will be given credit). So guys keep them coming.
*You can add multiple entries, but please dont post WIP (Unless you intend to update them). NEW RULE!
* Ill post ANOTHER thread to quantify and track WHO has participated the most on these threads.

Good luck

-Roberto

First time posting on cgtalk, hope it's not my last. Interesting concept although I'm not used to doing Drawings so fast.

1h sketchbook pro + wacom.

I don't like it, I'd try to fix it, but it is really late.
I'm posting it just because I think it's a funny topic.

BTW today I had been facing the task of painting with Photoshop for the first time, nothing good to post yet. I'm afraid I'll get lost in all those things you can do with PS...

Reif: I meant that it was destined for someone to use a Starbucks reference, not that you needed to "reference" a starbuck cup to draw that. I should hope you don't drink so much Starbucks that you can recall the logo without looking at anything. That may become a bit expensive for you. :D

Everyone else, great job. (Thought about doing something similar DoInferno. Good job.)

Ever since I was a little girl I've always wondered what it would be like to ride one of these suckers. I guess it's probably a baby brachiosaurus.

Oooohh ok. I gotcha. I wish I had the funds to drink that much coffee... although I drink alot since I know like 5-6 people that work at my local starbucks, so I never pay.. hehe :)

This is one of three sketches that I know I'm going to come back to in a few years and fully realize at high resolution once I develop the skill, possibly in traditional media like oil paints and possibly on the computer. PS, Wacom, about 45 minutes.

Her0d: My dad went to a ZZ Top concert just a few weeks ago! :D

PS, Wacom, less than half an hour. An old gag that I've put on school black boards more times than I can count. The guy's usually trying to get to his time machine, though.

You're right, they are still rockin :-) But I always thought of them as an example of 'rock dinosaurs' in a very positive way...
I reedited image and changed the band's name to something more appropriate and neutral :-)

ArtRage, Photoshop, 1.5 hours. Okay, these are two of my characters, Ralph, the
Triceratops, and Clifford, the Brontosaurus. Clifford is actually the subject of most of my doodles, and is a ferocious stuffed dinosaur...which means he may be the subject of the next Daily Sketch. Bwhoahahhaha.

More of my Clifford and Ralph (and friends) doodles can be found over here (http://csgirl.deviantart.com/scraps/)
