View Full Version : Trapcode 3D Stroke in Digital Fusion
jasonfox 07-07-2005, 09:11 AM Can anyone explain how to use Trapcodes 3D stroke in DFX ?
I've downloaded the demo version, and am having no joy in getting it to draw anything on the screen :-(
I've seen in another thread that someone said it was compatible, but I've tried mask lines and paths with no results !

I've tried this myself actually a couple months ago. Unless I'm missing something as well, 3D Stroke is just one of those AE plugins that doesn't actually work in Fusion.

If you read the requirements for 3d stroke, you will see it requires version 4.1 (basicly the 3d version of ae) DF 4 only supports 3.1 plugins I believe, and has no built in support for 3d.

Oh well ! fair enough :-(
I wonder why the guy in the other thread said it worked ! maybe he was just assuming it would.
Although, I may still play with it further as 3D Stroke has the option to use "virtual" camera views as well as the After Effects 'true' comp camera.
