View Full Version : Extremely Fast Zoom /pan/dolly

hi im fairly new to maya and i searched the forum for this related issue in maya 4.5, when im in perspective view from time to time it will become almost impossible to dolly in and out or pan around my model becuase it goes by fast...eg when i zoom in and out its so fast that the model juss flashes by....its really anoying to work becuase its hard to get the view u want without missin the object....only perspective view does this...all other ones work fine.....thx in advance for help

Is this a problem in all shading modes or just with wireframes or hardware textures?

Its probably because the perspective cameras' pivot point is not near the object the you are trying to view.
Easy fix
select the object, then press F

Try adjusting the scale settings of your camera tools.

it also works if u select a component and hit "f"
