While the renders look ver realistic, at 29 hours for a spinning ball thing there is no way tha Maxwell could ever replace the other Max renderers, which can do the same in about 10 minutes.

How did you turn the .ply's from the original website into .obj's?

did you every tried to do a 3d printing from your files ? i just wonder because i use it from time to time. may be not so much complex geometry but there are some real nice ones. downside =expensive and slow , but real :-)

You got some Great shapes.. looking nice, renders look good to, aldo the renders you want to look like real life outside shots, lack the realism, but the studio shots are super.

can those programs you use take an existing geometry and calculate a structure within that given geometry?

Scherk-Collins Sculpture Generator 1.0
