Well, this is just something I did a while back revisited with the help of Vray, modeled in 3ds max 4 and some texture work in photoshop. It´s just supposed to be a semi-realistic version of Homer.
A tribute to the greatest cartoon character ever made....in my opinion :)

let´s just say the picture was made during Homers non-drinking month ;)

Great googaly moogaly, that freakin gives me a nightmare. Thats some scary stuff man:surprised

Some things are meant not to look real. I have to say though what a fine job you did, even bringing Homer out of the 2d world into the real world is kinda freaky. But great work is all I have to say. Now if only I can get to sleep.

oh my god, now that i think of it i really do not wanna se homer in real life, but that render was pretty well done but the surrounding is really not as colerfull as the cartoon :hmm:
Meaby you should try cellshading :)

I don't like it at all, it's not semi realistic, it's just a cartoony homer with semi-realistic textures. You should really change the underlying model and make THAT more realistic also. As it stands now, it's giving me the heeby-jeebies!

Actually that is what he did... look at that nose, and those eyes....

I think he just needs a more natural pose, and him sitting having a duff, and it will look much better. As the saying goes:

No T.V, No beer, Make Homer..something something...:beer:

Thanks for the replys, seems everybody thinks he´s scary...does that mean I shouldn´t do a nude mr. Burns?
I know his pose is pretty stupid, looks like he´s watching something REALLY interesting or that he´s just dead. I hope I´ll get time to fix the pose and perhaps give him a beer, but I´m just really busy these days.
