Hi All,

I have a character I'm setting up and have run into a problem with the blend shapes. The character is a SINGLE poly mesh and in the animation one of his limbs comes off. So I have a two versions of him one with the limb one without. I'd like to use the blend shapes I've created for his face on the mesh with all his limbs for the dismembered one as well. But since the topologies are different the blends go nuts when I try to use them.

Is there any way to use the same ones? I'm stumped... Been fiddling with different approaches for hours. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

You could use blendshapes on sets of clusters as longs the cluster numbers remain the same.

Thanks for the idea gmask. I might try that too, sounds simple. But, not too long after I posted I came up with something that looks like it works kinda a pain to set up tho. I want to test it a bit further then I post what I did in case any one else ever has the same problem.

Thanks again.
