Hanzo and I have decidet to do a "vs challenge" together.

The idea is to make a human warrior who has some connection to dragons or dragon like creatures. Could be fighting style, weapons etc. Pretty simple.

Good luck Hanzo

The idea:
My idea surrounds a dark and war torn world where dragon like creatures are exploited for their superior powers. Their bones are sought for their magical attributes and unchallenged qualities and strength. Bones from dragons are turned into powerful weapons and armor. Bodies of warriors are strenghtened and altered. The soul of the dragon is passed on to its slayer and if he is strong and worthy he will be able to wield its powers and become stronger than any other warrior.

Some succeed and some fail...

I am going to model either one that failed or one that suceeded or maybe even both alterations. I will focus especially on the way that the bones have been utilized and or how they have altered the physical statue of the warrior for either good or bad.
I will get more into detail later.

Awesome drawing man. Nice character, its gonna be fun to see it progress.
I lost all electricity today so I actually did get to spend 20 mins on thinking about the character.
Ii really doont have the big evil drawing skills when it comes to characters but I am getting a pretty good idea about the concept. I kinda wanna keep it a secret for now and make it a surprise ;).
Maybe I will just burn some time on the wacom tonight.

I am modeling the upper body now.
The way I will do it is like this (I think). I will model a "rough" model in max and then play around with it in zbrush. Never used it before so its gonna be a challenge in itself.

I hope to show a wip of the upper body tomorrow. I am around two hours into it right now.

Thanks for keeping an eye on the challenge.

nice progress man I only have 1 crit for now, the arms are in heavy wip at the moment so no crits there. But more it was for the crouch area, the thighs are too far apart.

well man I'm actually trying to avoid my last client ( haha ), at least for now. I'm busy getting done with his job but I still don't want him to bother me at the moment. :shrug:been on a lack of cash and late checks piss me off big time.

PS: great update dude but that heavy line you got between each leg and hip is too obvious, it got to GO. correct this plz! ;)

hey guys!
great start, both of you.
hanzo: looks like your characters arms is a bit to long, don't know if thats the meaning, but if not, i'll say they are to long.
superlayer: where's your concept-pict? :) -nice start on the model, but it seems like his shoulder sits a bit to narrow to each-other. also as said earlier, the crouch looks kinda funny, i think his "six-pack" sits to far up or maybe it's because the crouch is too long. but hey! it's wip, right:thumbsup:

keep us updated guys! :)

hi thats coming along nice it looks good keep it up

superlayer

henson0115: Thanks :D

abyss103: Hey raz, I didnt play with the shoulders yet but according to my reference they are sitting where they should but they havent been defined yet. The sex pack isnt too far up but I didnt define the abdominal well below the navel. Its a bit tricky to get anatomically correct but Ii am working on it. The crouch does appear a little too long though.

hanzo: You can just block him and he wont be able to see you.
I guess those lines are a bit too pronounced he he. Doing some work to make it look more natural and smooth.

superslayer....his muscles dont look developed enough to have a stomach that ripped. You should carry that muscle definition to the rest of the bod or tone down the abs I think...hope that helps.

Hazza, am using a ref for this so there is nothing wrong with the definition. Remember its possible to sculpt some parts of your body more than others. Say you can have a sixpack and not want to look like arnold when he was mister universe. Hope you catch my drift. So I am staying with it unless I feel like going in a different direction.
