500 quads or so... still a few problems that need to be worked out.

hey!!

by 500 quads is that quads or tri's?
for 500 tri's it looks really good.

you could probably lose some poly's on the flat part of the side of the face.
and the middle of the forehead.
that's about it i think :)

cheers!!

I'm going to hazard a guess and say he probably meant quads.

I think it looks great, your volumes are good and realistic, I especially like the brow and eye sockets!

Hi, Don't take this the wrong way, I'm getting a vibe that this mesh wasn't created but generated ? 3DMeNow Pro, perhaps ? I've seen meshes / textures created this way using two photographs, and this is remarkably similar to the results obtained from that program, even down the texture blending on the sides of the face, I'm pretty sure I'm right, I apologise if not.

Thanks for the comments everyone!

lol should i be flattered or offended S.J. ?
I'll go for flattered.

Here are a couple progress shots.
It feels good to get my hands into some more organic oriented stuff after making so many rigid weapons at work.

You could get it down to 350 tri easily and still retain the same form by removing polygons in the nose, ears, and back of the head.
