Helllo--

I wanted to do some tests fx using ae, maya and dv camera.

1) do I need a de-interlacer--or will the native ae feature do it

2) would 1 brand/type of dv camera be much better for this exercise

3)can any dv camera's shoot progressive?

Thanks--Paul

1) AE can deinterlace just fine. Not perfect, but fine.
2) Most consumer cameras are fine for CG tests. They don't come near 35mm film quality, but they be sufficient for testing.
3) Some DV cameras shoot progressive, but I think they're quite costly. I also think some cameras fake their progressive by deinterlacing just like AE would do it.
