Well I had to model a 3 pot coffee maker with 2 pots using 250 triangles (i ended up at 243) and 1x256 texture and only color. Here's a screen shot from Max. C&C welcomed (although I won't be offended if I don't get any because I know that a coffee maker isn't the most exciting thing in the world :scream: )

A coffer maker is not the most exciting but it looks good for the polys and texture size used :)

Thanks for the comments so far guys. here's the wire. Let me know if I did the modeling correctly, I don't do a ton of modeling so I don't know all the do's and don's all the time, but I think I got it ok:shrug:

almost no crits on my side, the mesh is perfectly simple.
The only thing that bugs me is the very clean metal texture of the machine itself.
If people go and get their coffe there the areas around the heating plates should be dirty and spilled with old, burned coffe.
at least thats how it looks in my kitchen :-)

Lol everything has too have some dirt :P

I think it is fine unless you put it a scene with lots of dirt etc.

Good thought. I had originally left stains and dirt out because I didn't know how well it would come across on a low res texture like this. I'll definitly have to try and see now since it was somthing that was noticed. thanks

hey!!

nice. you have used the poly's well.
tho you may as well use the 7 remaining poly's for something.
not sure what you can make with 7 poly's but still :)

cheers!!

you're a genius. This has been bugging me that i had a few left over and I now know how I can use a couple to fix the area that has been bugging me the most. Those damn warning lables since they are so low res. I'll create two planes so I can use a little bit higher res texture utilizing some of the extra UV space I have left over. well here's that changed.

That looks really awesome, very clear and readable end product, no crits at all!
