Hi ,
here is a rendering of a figure I modelled and rendered in Lightwave in my favorite 3D-Style ;-)
The hair is geometry exported from Shave and a Haircut.

Please tell me what you think...

I really like the overexposed mood of this. An anim in this style could be somethingvery impactful. His eyes suggest something cute and anime, but then something dangerous and violent. Is that your intention behind the way his face is stylized?

Yes, exactly - great that you see what I intended. ;-)
I work a lot in this hard black & white style - I like photorealism very much, but sometimes I need a break ...

On my demoreel is some animated B&W stuff (see adress above), but not with this character. I'm currently doing his animation setup in Messiah:Studio...

Yes it's done with "Unreal", a free toonshader for Lightwave from the japanese company D-Creation
D-Creation (http://webclub.kcom.ne.jp/mb/dhm/)
Simply the best Toonshader for Lightwave IMHO ;-)

I'm interested in getting a toon shader. I recently saw the new Ghost in the Shell series thats going on in Japan right now and it is 100% Di$gUsTiNG! The intro to the film is just...:eek: :surprised .

:shrug: Well, I dont really speak- Or read on that matter- Japanese and the link for that shader is all in Japanese ^_^. I just need one for my Linux Box.
