Hi

im trying to track a hand held running shot in boujou... feature tracking drops a few frames, however, in the feature tracking "advanced" menu there is the choice to track "normal" or "large" features - when I pick "large" the feature tracking goes faster and doesn't drop any frames. But when I try to produce a camera the software crashes every time (sometimes at 98 %) .

Can anyone explain what this "normal" and "large" feature tracking means and how I can use it to my benefit as it seems that the "large" makes nice feature tracking of what I need - but again the camera solve causes a crash.

thanks.

what do you mean its dropping frames? Where is it dropping the frames? Only when rendering?
Or in scrubbing the timeline??

Ive recently discovered, that you need to OPEN the boujou scene, and IMPORT your geometry. If you Import the boujou track it tries to conform to the Maya preset (even if you think its the same) you open the cameras curves in the Graph editor and the keys arnt on proper frames but rather on like 1.5 and then on 2.8 and it adds up. But if you Open that same boujou scene, all the keys are purrrrfect.

basically: some shots do not feature track properly unless i use the "large" feature option - but when using this option the program crashes during camera solve.

my question - what is this option, what does it do exactly, and how can i use it properly.

thanks
