hi everybody :)

this is my latest character, called fero taraba. his name is ordinary as himself. polycount is 7k triangles so far. i'm not fully satisfied with his head, so there will be some tweaking. tomorow i'll start with detailing in zbrush and then i'll make normal maps for him.

Can we see something you made yourself? This is just a slightly modified version of a model by Radek Nowakowski. You must have downloaded it here (http://www.luxology.com/community/).

EDIT - I am willing to believe that you ARE Radek, since it was such a recent Modo submission, but your profile doesn't mention your actual name?

good, nice model but, ..this is game art :\ . it have lots of poly, to much i think.

I dont really think the polys matter considering the next gen stuff,but its more of the fact that its stolen :\

Many of the HL2 models have 7000 triangles or more.

oh, i'm very sad, that you guys think it's stolen ! yes, i was following mentioned model but only as a reference of body topology. hope my english makes sense. that model is great for anatomy study as well as tony jung's model here :

is that bad to learn something from pro's ? i think no ! i made the model myself. this not an copy :(

and about polycount : i agree with adam.few months ago, there was and game challenge here at cgtalk. polycount was about 15k. so, i don't think that 7k is too much.

ok everybody,

i must explain this all. today i was trying to contact radek, to know his opinion. no answer yet.
my primary goal was zbrush practising. this is not an commercial work, just pure practising. i don't have sufficient model, so i used radek's model as an reference. i'm begin to feel guilty for this. but i modeled "fero" myself, this is not stealed model. it's my fault : i should have write this at begining. sorry, i apologize to all of you and especially to radek.

until i have answer from radek, i'll not continue.

squal, i think you should continue your work, because everybody need to copy something before start to make our won models...

think that: how many bands do you hear saying "we are influencied by black sabbath", "we start playing songs of manowar", etc...

i myself save on my pc a lot of images of this forum to look wile i'm modeling, just to copy his stiles, and then make my own...

if you're sure that you are not posting images of someother model, this is your model and i think you should continue...

and for the other members, please don't trate him like a thief, he is not trying to gain credits with ravek's model.

and please don't consider this post of mine a flame post:thumbsup:

hey buddy, thanks for your support. yes, i'm sure this is my picture, because this is my model. no one, have copyright on bodytopology. i made mistake and i apologized, because i didn't mentioned about my reference. but, i really want to know radek's opinion. unfortunately, i have no answer from him so far.

squal, i undestand you, but if this model is giving to you so much trouble, start another from scratch, at least until ravek don't anwser your mail...

and your model style is great, i try as hard as i can and i still have many problems with edgeloops and anathomy...
