Hello,

My name is Sivan.I’m working on 3D modeling.

Recently,I have an interest in matte painting.Even though I don’t have a remarkable work about this,my friend Arif Osmanoglu and I, we started to work on building scenes.

I’d like to emphasize that we don’t have much experience about it, that’s why we want to publish and upload our work on this site and we want to find our direction with your valuable comments and critics.

The Mars surface that you see on this scene is made on LW. And the little capsul is made on Maya; the rest is drawn at photoshop.

I’m aware of lots of things are missing on our work,it would be efficient to work more.

Yet I’m curious about your opinions.Thanks for your critics.

Looks very turbulant. I like the scene very creative. If I had one crit it would be the brightness. It looks a little to stormy for such a bright scene. What you could do maybe is darken the sky a bit and add some lights to the landing area. They would most likely need them anyway. This way you could have the Lights on the lander and rover and maybe bounce a little light back at the storms. I don't think they have scene lightning on the surface but that should be figured into you lighting abit. If the lightning is going on perhaps that could be a source of the light as well.

Using the lightning would be a great way to show the storm without brightning the scene.

It's a really great scene. I wouldn't want to be anywhere near there at that particular time. If I had the chance I would get in the rover and haul for a cliff face or something to protect me from the storms.

Great atmosphere! I like the first matte better. The dust storms are more plausible than the volcano. I don't think Mars has any active volcanoes at this stage of its evolution.
