Hey Guys, Im doing a batch render and I'm wondering is there an option in the render globals (or anywhere) that allows me to "skip rendered frames" so that files dont get overwritten, it just skips them and begins rendereing a frame that isnt there yet?

Thanks!

That would be neat...but no.

Unless someone knows better, of course. :)

Isnt that odd to anyone?

XSI has it....even after effects has it!!! It seems like such a simple thing to have.

Oh, there are many, many, many odd things about Maya you've yet to learn. :)

But like i said, i could be wrong about your issue.

If your using the Maya software renderer (which you're probably not) you can use the -rep flag from a commandline to achieve what your after...."Render -r sw -rep 'filename'". But if you're using mentalray you might be outta luck. But of course I'm on maya 6.0 and have no idea if they implemented this feature for mentalray in 6.5.
