Iam running MAYA 6.5 on a dual xeon 2.4, 2 36gb scsi raid 0, FX1000 card. Will not render with hyperthreading enabled blue screen 0x0000008e message after 10-20 mins. Have taken one chip out ran single chips with hyperthreading renders full sequence 250 frames fine. Swapped chips single mode hyperthreading fine. Put two new chips in, hyperthreading back on same problem blue screen.
Used Erics Hanson scene files cubic array Gnomon workshop DVD same problem so rules files out. It seems using hyperthreading at 100% processor speed over a big file causes windows to fall over.
Have a case file with Dell and Alias any one any ideas. Have replaced mother board, video card, ram and cpus. But renders fine in everything but dual hyperthreading mode. Will hyperthread very small files OK.
