Theoretically, yes... but first, you'd need to turn on the macrorecorder, not the listener... turn on the macro recorder, start working, and in the end copy/paste all you see in the macrorecorder.
However, there's one small detail. Not EVERY action in max is exposed to maxscript... you could do some operations that mxs just misses, thus loosing part of the modeling process.
There's one script out there that will turn any object into a macro script... can't remember the name, but it'll build a macro out of any object, so you could run it on your object and get a script out. I'm not sure all base-object types are supported (perhaps everything is meshed).
Another option is to use Bobo's BFF scripts. These are extremely powerful, and will also generate a maxscript out of geometry, but supports additional object types, mapping coordinates, and animation. This is a must-have tool.
