View Full Version : Modeling technique
sherridge101 06-30-2005, 02:53 PM Hi all,
How would you go about modelling this is modo, but not in sub d's.
In Lightwave you might drill or boolean the shapes and then use vertibevel to give you the rounded edges.

I'd use splines to make the base shapes and the perfect cricles and just convert to polygons to bevel edges around.
It's faster than using booleans and you don't end up retouching the topology,of course you can use Modo's booleans if you really need to,they're good, nothing ground breaking but they're easy and as efficient as anything I had experienced before without plugins.
I'm not a hard-core boolean fan usually.

That sounds a good way. Would you then path the large face area together?
