View Full Version : invisible vertices
flowrez 10-22-2002, 04:07 PM I am preparing a model of a character for texturing, and I have the following problem.
I have detached several polygongroups so I can flatten them out. Now for some reason, the vertices become invisible... I still can select them, but it's easier when you can see them littlle bastards.
Any one know the answer... or some magic button?
Cheers

Ugh. This happens to me all the time, usually after working with max for a few hours. I think it's a video card issue because once I restart max, the verts re-appear. If that doesn't work, I dunno what to tell ya.

wel fLo ... that's easy.
Just hit the right mousebutton and choose properties. Here you can choose 'vertex ticks' at the display properties.
Easy!
But who turns them off!!
cheers

bugger!!
Owkay... it ain't over yet. Now I do see them.... but they won't turn red when I select them.
This feature at the object properties isn't the sollution. Now I also see the vertices when I am not in the subobject mode.
Help!!

Hmmm
Anyways, a third thing, that has happened to me at times, is that I have to toggle Show End Result off. I can't remember when having it on causes the verticies to not display, I just thought I'd pimp in with my take on it. Although it sounds like you've got it under control already flowrez :)
