Before everyone yells 'Search!'... I just want to point out that this link appears to have differing resolutions and extra bits 'n' bobs than the other thread that is currently available on this topic. :)

It's also hilarious watching it in German...

I just can't wait to see Kong rip into that T. Rex. That's gonna be sweet!

i saw it yesterday and i must say i dont like it.

t-rex Versus Gorilla? too much mumbo jumbo.

peter jackson went completly insane on this one:shrug:

let's hope this is just wrong predictions by me, since i've considered him after 3 sucessfull movies each one better than the other one if not the greatest living film director on the planet.

Gee, I guess you didn't know this is a remake of an old film.

Hmm, man, that´s a classic scene from the original King Kong (1933) :

I´m sure Peter Jackson will make his version a remarkable scene, too. Don´t loose your faith! http://cgtalk.com/images/smilies/smile.gif

ah:eek: i really thought that scene was in the old movie, but i asked my parents yesterday and they said that there was no t-rex in the original, so i was like "peter u madmen".

but if there's a t-rex in the original, allright Pete, go forward:)

it really made my vision of the movie go up a lot.

Maybe they´re thinking about the ´75 one... the one with Jessica Lange:

BZZZZZZT! Wrong!

You need to see anything he made before LOTR, then say that. You'd choke on your own words.

I LOVE his old films. I have special editions of Meet the Feebles, Bad Taste and Dead Alive (AKA Braindead) in my DVD collection. Remember, he intentionally made those as b-films. There is one thing that he cannot be faulted on, and that is that he's a great storyteller. I am so glad that he seems to be going back to his roots with Kong.

I think The Frighteners is a pretty under-rated movie - I'd hoped it might get a better DVD release after PJ's success.

There was a Laserdisc special edition, so there is some extra material out there...

I figured I'd get flamed for sure by dogging on PJ. Someday I'm gonna get you to snap! :)

I guess my opinins are unpopular. I'm used to it. I just don't see the big fuss over Jackson or his movies. I think they're average at best, except for FOTR, which was exceptional. Everyone has their opus though. I just don't think he's good enough to play with the big boys.

I'm highly curious about Kong, and I want it to be good and succeed, but after seeing the trailer I just don't know. I'm losing hope.

Okay, well, one thing that concerned me was how Jack Black would handle this role, since the rest of the cast and the director are very capable, but after the trailer, I see he's great in the role. Can't wait for this movie.
