I've been toying with some ideas for a new interactive 3D piece, but I've run into a dilemma: are recreations of an artists work or style valid art or just a ripoff?
To me, I think it's interesting to recreate paintings in 3D and interactive, evolve "high art" or whatever you want to call it into the new art age, but is that actually art or just cheap crap?
Any thoughts?
