Hi,

Im wondering the function of the Edge Bevel tool.

Im trying to use it for the most simple task. To make a furrow to a plane.
Check the picture :

Has someone the same problem with this tool? Im using 8.2.

Thanks,

Edge Bevel doesnt work on open edges like in the images you have. It only works on closed edges.

An Edge bevel on a flat plane just ain't gonna work.. :) What I can suggest is to make a flat box but put more sections in it while making it by hitting the cursor keys...

Use Bandsaw. select one side, bandsaw it to your specifications, then select the other side and reverse the cut on the numeric pannel.

The result you're searching for on 4 picture could be done by TrueArt's Wrinkle by adjusting only Inner Distance or Outer Distance (doesn't matter in this case which one).. And you receive much, much more powerful tool than that.. There're videos demonstration it in practice:

Thanks,

Yes, I knew how to use Bandsaw, Knife etc. but I was using EdgeBevel for the first time and didnt know that it wont work with open edges. So thanks for clarifying it.

I will check out the Wrinkle..
