May I join the club? Posted some images on ZbrushCentral with no answers at all.
Is the image a fully 3Dmodel? or material painted on canvas?

I made a primitive model for the bomb-shape
and then i paintet the "people" on it using an importet lowpoly mesh.

edit: yep - if you dont make detailed heads or something similar - they dont care.
but they are also saying that they are waiting for something different... isnt this different?

Hehehe I both made detailed heads and different aliens :hmm:
Cool idea, I didn't see the human bodies at the "firstfire" image. Try to get light to cast smal amount of shadows and the contours will appear.

Your original post was at 2:50 am (my time) and your second one was made at 6:08 am. You are only willing to wait barely 3 hours before giving up on the community? Personally, I am not awake at 3 in the morning because I have to be at work at 8 am. You might want to give the forums a little longer than 3 hours to respond before discounting them.

Having said that, now that I'm here...the idea and the image have potential, but right now it is not very visually interesting. Because of the small value scale (everything is one intensity...bright) it's hard to notice any details at all. Consider rendering with better lighting and shadows enabled. Also, since this is an explosing, it should have some "age" to it. It's not going to be all yellow fire. Maybe create some smoke people and more fire people that range all the way from black to red to white. That should go a long way towards making it more interesting to look at.

Definitely post your progress. Everyone here is very helpful, but activity kind be like the tides of the oceans so don't take it personally.

shadows are enabled, think the "problem" is that it is a glowing material. i still try to get more color variations and smoke.

It's no big deal. I've felt the same way many times before, as I'm sure most everyone else has. Maybe if you add more layers of people, perhaps darker ones in the inner layers, it will start to have a bit more depth. I think I could see the base mesh that you were using to position the people with in the screenshot without the material applied...maybe add so many people that it is no longer visible. Another idea might be to vary the size of the people a bit more.

It's a very kewl concept... all you need to do now is, spice it up a little.
