VFXJobs.com – CG/VFX Jobs in Australia & New Zealand

VFXJobs is a Job website dedicated to the provision of job opportunities in Australia & New Zealand. Too simple really! All the production houses in Oz and NZ have been invited to place their relevant job opportunities with VFXJobs.com and all you, the Job Seeker have to do is check in as often as you like to find your next job, your dream job, or anything in-between. Best of luck to all, and good Job hunting! http://www.VFXJobs.com (http://www.vfxjobs.com/)

hey Tim,

Yeah i set it up ...i was umming and aghhhhing about doing something like this for a long time as I was longing for something a bit more targeted for my own job searching ...it just ads to the frustration sifting through job after job in the US/UK etc etc ... So i just did it :)

Hopefully it will be useful to interested parties...im sure it will be :D

Cheers,
paul

I had a similar idea recently also, this was because of people asking me about talent over here in the UK. In this case the service is targeted mainly at 3dsmax artists/jobs. Its an area on the CG Academy Forum for Job & Resume postings.

http://www.cg-academy.net/phpBB2/index.php?c=8&sid=e3143ad3fb2082e64e864e7469b43ab1

As you can see, right now its region specific in terms of jobs, but general in terms of Resume region. If people could post here also, and the feature is used, and grows then I will also make the Resume topics specific to each region, and also if the regions warrant breaking down further then I'll do that also.

This is a free service. Please register on the forum first (so you can edit your psots later) and post your jobs/resumes.

Cheers

Hi Paul,
I couldn't find your posting yesterday you made about your EBay sale of VFXJOBS.com Bidding is complete and I've sent the follow up emails. Paid via Paypal. The URL may play very well with some business plans we are working toward in the later part 2006.

Hey Rich,

Good to see it ended up with someone seems pretty motivated about this sort of thing. How's the CGSociety chapter coming together over there in LA?

Brian, I'm in the middle of arranging a small group of local media business types toward a round table discussion curently set for January. A collection of developers for CG, HD video and portable device solutions. VFXJobs.com could become a portal teamimg various industry needs and artists. It's much too early to nail specifics, but the URL may come in handy.

As for the Los Angeles CGSociety, there's has been virtually no interest by indiviual talents here in LA to warrent a meeting. Less than 3 people showed interest and the New CGSociety rules require a minimum of 5 active participating members. People aren't keen on discussions of meetings on the business/entreprenurial capacity which is unfortunate for such a large market like Los Angeles.
