Hi all!!

The other day i saw a cool way to paint UVmaps using projection maps in Maya, the problem is that i would like to know how to do that in Lightwave, it can be done? Can i project an image and bake that as a tiff file?

I think that the "tool" i´m looking for is surface baker, but i´m not sure if that is the "same" as the Maya proyection map, and how can i "remove" the perspective of the camera? The Viewport on Modeler (Front, right, etc) are perspective free right?

Another thing, there was a bug with the Surface baker on Lw 8.2?? Because if i put Bake Shader the program will crash, any idea why?

Thanks guys and gals for the help!!

For the surface baker I usually render out a color pass and then an illumination pass, then composite in photoshop. I've never tried to bake a shader, but I can see where this might be an issue.

To project an image in layout you can do so by using the "Front" projection type. It will project the texture through the camera onto your object.
