View Full Version : Script for the "Rigging the Legs and Feet" tutorial in max 7
erilaz 06-29-2005, 03:50 AM I've just finished scripting up the process used in 3dsmax 7 tutorial for creating a foot IK system for single-toed character rigs (with wired parameters etc.) Would anyone be interested in this script? It's saved me a lot of time when setting up foot ik.
I'm also not sure of the legalities of releasing this script for general use, since I'm using exactly the same process that is well documented by discreet (search for "Rigging the Legs and Feet" under the tutorials file).

count me in I`m always looking for tools to make life easier, also I dont think you need to worry about the legal issue.
As I see it maxScript is an alternative way to communicate with Max so your not making a copy of the actual document, infact I would have thought discreet would welcome your efforts. It shows whats possible and how flexable MAXScript is.

i think you dont need to release it as Michael comets character rigger script does the legs (and the rest) like the tutorial (AFAIK he wrote the tutorials you describe) you can get the script at his site http://www.comet-cartoons.com/
