Hello I would like that somebody helps me, see I just bought painter IX but there's a problem I have, when I try to install it on my PC it installs correctly but when the installation has finished I try to run the program and it opens... and loads the brushes and all the stuff it loads... but then it crashes, it just freeze... and when i try to close it I get a "program is not responding" error... this is very annoying, so i tried installing it in another pc in my house and voilą It ran perfectly... I really don't know what the problem could be and i need this software installed on MY own PC... so here i'll tell u my pc stats... so u can get an idea... Pentium 4, 2.80 GHz, 256 MB RAM, Windows XP, 500 MB free disk space (I know It's not much free space but I will get rid of a lot of stuff soon). I think it fits the requirements... or do u think it is not enough space for the program to work? I really have no idea... BTW on the computer i installed it successfully it has like a lot of GB's of memory and Disk Space do u think that is making the difference?

Hi Atomickid,

you really need a lot of hard drive space for painters brushes & files caches, as they change in size always! and you need a LOT of space while working on an image of any meaningful size.

the other thing is the graphics card - what you using?

Hey Thanx for the reply but I've solved the problem I had to press the shift key while painter was loading so everything reset to the default settings... once I did that it loaded just fine! and yeah now i've released hard drive space... so everything's working fine now!
