Title: Small Car Show Room
Name: David Rossmann
Country: Italy
Software: (Other)
This are renderings i made from my 5 years old car model.
It was rendered using the RemoteMatador system ( www.arkadin.biz ) on a Sony Vaio, with the Maxwell rendering engine. 1,5 millions polygons, 25 minutes for each rendering, no photoshop no post-production.
20 minutes for the set-up 10 test low resolution renderings, and then...

I like much the shader of the beacons, they look like real plastic and not glass. However the design of the beacons seems cheap compared to the elegant shape of the car. The idea of adding bump on the beacon's glass is good, but I'd suggest another pattern. Something more fluid, like curves, or something like that. Anyway the rest is very well done. I'd just rip off this noise, or attenuate it.

i liked your renders alot
25 mins for each frame for that kind of quality is amazing i think DOF + soft reflections etc.
can you please give more information about your computers specs (cpu, mem etc)
thanks

The computer specs are not my computer specs. As i say in my post i made this work from a Sony Vaio with a centrino 1.6 Ghz.
The computing power that allows 25 minutes per image, are included in the Remote Matador software. RemoteMatador is permanently connected to a 70x3Ghz Xeon processor cluster and simply solves the renderings remotly and sends the finished rendering back to the RemoteMatador application.
All RemoteMatador users can make their renderings on the shared cluster. For that it's cheap. It's a shared Hardware.
costs:
Each of the rendering you see is a 4 credit rendering, that means 48 Euro each rendering.
If you think that you don't need a powerful workstation, if you think that you spend no more as one hour workflow to obtain exactly this results, If you think that with only one RemoteMatador contract you can install the software and use it from 20 different workplaces with not extra costs, it's a very cheap price.

Cool design, and thanks for the tip on that software. That's a great idea. My only crit is, why all the noise? Everyone here goes nuts with noise! It doesn't make your render look better, or more like a photograph, or whatever you're trying to achieve! Maybe if it were toned down a little it wouldn't bug me so much. I know I'm not the only one here that wishes this trend would stop.

It's because of the renderer he and a lot of other people use. Maxwell Renderer has a big problem with noise. I used to have the same problem when I used GI back in pre 1.0 Brazil, but as the renderer develops, hopefully the developers will fix this glaring problem

Cool, good to know you didn't add it in yourself in Photoshop. :) Didn't mean to get so agitated, but I feel strongly about it!
