A pair of custom swords.

MAX 5. 530 triangles, 860 with the scabbard. Maps are Diffuse and Specular (both 512x512). Click here for the wire (http://home.primus.ca/~adba/models/wakizashi_wire.jpg).

I need a little help with this one. I've never had any professional art training, so I don't know the accepted standards for work like this. Is the wireframe half-decent? Should the polycount go lower? Can I improve the texture layout? Etc.

Thanks for reading! :)

...er...you don't HAVE a wire frame there

and yea the poly count should be a lot lower...or at least lower....

Heh, there's a link at the top of the page, but I'll post it here anyway for visibility. Thanks for the feedback, btw.

If it is for a first person view the polys are alright. Though some of the smaller details could have been faked with textures. Looks cool though.

you could get away with halfing the tri count on the round ends. You could also save some tri by zig zaging the long polygons on the handle. I see it done once or twice, but you should probably do it more. especialy on the 'flatter' sides of the handle.

I like your design and textures a lot by the way. :)
