but the mac sit file i downloaded didn't have any examples (seems corrupted as two copies decompressed called "CINEMA 4D Release 8 Studi#8AB0E", it works though), can anyone help me out with just the example files?

r8 looks packed and complicated!

ok if you are wondering why the mac download is twice as big its because they put two copies in the mac .sit file! doh and no examples!

A lot of refresh bugs in the demo :annoyed: [on Wildcat III 6210].

I like c4d r8 very much, only the winged edge poly object (ala max) is missing.
Nothing else at the moment.

Triple check you have the very latest drivers. Anyone using an NVidia or NV2/4 FireGL card MUST update to the latest drivers. we had some trouble at the DAWorld show last week because IBM provided us machines with the oldest drivers known to man.

I have upgraded to 05.05.04.51, but problems are there, but i have found the problem.
I had to disable the dual plane support.

Damn, I so wanted this, but the files arent on there anymore :annoyed: :thumbsdow . When are we going to see the "official" one? ie from maxon's site, with fewer bugs, and some examples?

It's only 20MB, but it seems to be complete??? (I see German, French and Spanish as languages, but all the filenames are English).
Can't install it right now (I'm not on my puter), and don't have a zip or a burner here. :annoyed:

Thanks for posting, yet I do wonder how come that it isn't Maxon themselves that come up with the demo???

i do not recommend using this version, it is fairly incomplete and has been online in france only by accident.
The link posted here is not authorized.
The complete demo will be available soon.
